20th Anniversary
13th October 2003
Linetime Limited, one of the leading suppliers of technological solutions for the legal profession, is celebrating 20 years in business. The company has not only survived but prospered in the highly competitive market of supplying information technology solutions to the legal profession and today has a turnover in excess of £2m and thirty employees.
Chairman John Burrill comments: “There was an opportunity within the market place to establish to company committed to developing some of the finest software systems, whilst at the same time achieving complete customer satisfaction and ensuring clients obtain optimum benefits whilst using it.”
Linetime has seen many changes within the legal profession during the last 20 years.
“20 years ago there were a greater number of general purpose practices. Today more and more practices specialise in certain areas, be it conveyancing, debt recovery, general litigation etc, and are now also able to advertise for business. As practices become more specialised their needs in terms of technology become more specific and targeted and firms are using they systems they have commissioned as a selling aid to attract customers.
“It is an undeniable fact – as clients demand more from their solicitor in terms of time scale, flow of communication and service offered, legal practices need to be prepared and they need to embrace the latest technology in order to become more efficient,” continues John.
Linetime has a continual program of research and development and this has allowed the company to react to the advent of e-conveyancing, web enabled technology etc, and achieve year on year growth in a unstable market. Specialist packages such as Liberate practice and case management and the Debtime SQL debt recovery system promote the company as being pro-active. These packages allow the user to inform their client by automatically generated letter, SMS message, email, etc what has occurred on their file. Clients can of course monitor their case through direct web access via a secure server.
John concludes: “Our systems and services have allowed us to establish long-term relationships with our customers as well as attract new clients.”
To celebrate the 20th anniversary Linetime is taking its staff and their partners to Lumley Castle for a medieval weekend.
