The Law Society 2007 Software Solutions Guide

Linetime is waiting with eager anticipation for the launch of this year’s Law Society Software Solutions Guide. The 2007 Guide will be available at the forthcoming Legal IT Show which takes place at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th February 2007.
Market research by Fusion Communications of London, included in the Legal Software Guide covers a wide range of the reasons why law firms buy from and stay with individual software suppliers. It provides satisfaction ratings across a wide variety of product and service issues including functionality, degree of innovation, commitment to development, as well as the quality of customer training and support.
In addition, the research conducted by the Law Society’s research team encompassed a wide range of other attributes including:
• Quality of service and overall reputation of the supplier
• Reliability of system and ease of use
• Understanding of legal business
• Genuine concern that the customer is getting maximum benefit from
the software
• Ease of doing business together
• Degree of improvement in business efficiency
The Guide is based on the results of a telephone based quantitative survey which took place during September & October 2006. The fieldwork facility used by the research team is accredited to ISO 9001:2000 & BS7911 (MRQSA) and no incentive was offered for taking part in the study. The database of customers was provided to the research team by each of the 16 software suppliers that took part in the study.
There is no doubt that The Law Society’s Software Solutions Guide has now probably the primary source of independent software supplier and product information to the legal profession.
