Yeadon based Linetime Limited, one of the leading suppliers of technological solutions for the legal profession, has received an order for software and services valued over £250,000 for its Liberate integrated software system from DLA's Bradford-based Business Services Group (BSG). This investment forms parts of a larger, overall investment programme. DLA was voted Law Firm of the Year 2002 and BSG is a specialist division of the firm providing process and service based volume legal services to a wide range of clients including a number of the leading financial organisations in the UK.
The Business Services Group specialises in two main areas, represented by its two main divisions - Debt Solutions Divisions, which provides pre-legal debt collection; volume litigation and insolvency services; including the issuing of volume bankruptcy and winding-up petitions; and the Property Services Division, providing re-mortgage and transactional conveyancing services to major lenders and other parties.
BSG's existing systems, having been developed and supported in-house, have been in use since 1987. Although reliable, the current systems do not provide sufficient levels of flexibility and functionality to accommodate the growth and development needs of the business. As a result the decision was taken to replace the system and following an assessment of the feasibility of designing a system in-house, it was decided to source a replacement system externally.
