FIRST ORDER FOR LIBERATE SOFTWARE RECEIVED
14th March 2002
Linetime Limited, one of the leading suppliers of technological solutions for the legal profession, has received an order for its recently launched Liberate intergrated software system from Bishop Auckland based practice Hewitts. The order, valued at in excess of £60,000, includes the systems' two primary modules - practice management and case management, three servers, a network and new accounting with hardware.
The comprehensive Liberate system was launched last year to bring the benefits of web-enabled, database systems and effective management overview and control of workflow to legal practices. It supports all aspects of practice management, providing full marketing, diary and client relationship management, together with a modern comprehensive accounts system. The accounts system incorporates a full ledger set with aged debtor, forecasting and budgeting modules and integration with industry standard reporting tools. The case management module handles all matters of all types and many specific cases can be modelled and fully populated with relevant procedures and precedents.
John Elmes, practice manager at Hewitts, comments: "We installed another supplier's practice management system a number of years ago. Whilst we believed case management was the way forward we felt the software available at that time would not fulfil our requirements. However, recent advances in the software encouraged us to re-consider the feasibility of an integrated case management and practice management system.
"We looked at a number of suppliers but unfortunately they did not include Linetime. The systems offered to us were not suitable for our needs and we contacted a number of practices in Newcastle for their advice. All recommended Linetime, praising not only their systems but also the service and back-up they provide. Liberate was the most sophisticated system available and yet has proved to be easy to learn and use. Its database structure allows us to organise our data in a manner that is convenient to store, retrieve and maintain which is essential to our success as is the fact that it is web-enabled."
Liberate is currently used at Hewitts' head-office but it is anticipated that it will be networked to the company's four other offices.
