LINETIME - IT Solutions for the Legal Profession

Liberate embraces client and office accounting

LOCAL COMPANY RECEIVES ORDER FOR SOFTWARE

7th March 2002

Yeadon based Linetime Limited: one of the leading suppliers of technological solutions for the legal profession has received an order for equipment valued at in excess of £30,000 from Newcastle based Gorman Hamilton for Liberate accounting software system. This investment also includes two technical days per month whereby technicians from Linetime will visit the practice and check back-up tapes, networking etc. Gorman Hamilton specialises in personal injury claims from road traffic accidents.

Practice manager Linda Webb comments: "I have used Linetime products since 1990 and have built up a strong relationship with the company based on its professional manner and first class products. When I moved to Gorman Hamilton four years ago I found that the accounts systems they were using were not efficient and I recommended the practice implement Linetime's Practice II accounts software, which it did.

"Whilst I have always known how good Linetime's products were the one disadvantage, in my opinion, was that they were not Windows based. When the Windows based Liberate software was launched into the market there was never any question that Gorman Hamilton would not up-grade."

"Being Windows based, Liberate is faster than its predecessor and also more user friendly and appealing. It addition it provides the advantage of allowing operators to have a number of screens open at any one time. One of the major advantages is that we can have two accounting periods open at one time as it is able to distinguish between the transactions for each month prior to performing the month end. This relieves some of the pressure on us - for instance, if we are late in closing a month end we can still continue to work on the following month.

"Liberate's reporting feature is a fantastic management tool which is tailored to suit our needs. We tell it what field we need and it provides us with the relevant information in an easy to read format. Liberate is just so flexible."
