Linetime benefit from investment in .NET announcing a record turnover in 2005 with a 75% increase in pre-tax profits
16th February 2006
According to the ‘word on the street’ at the recent Law Society Legal IT 2006 Show in London, the legal software market is flat, so much so that a number of well-known software suppliers are experiencing a serious downturn in both turnover and profits.
Linetime, the Leeds based legal software specialist is pleased to announce that this apparent trend has not been experienced by them - quite the contrary.
Not only has this Yorkshire based firm announced a record turnover for the financial year ending January 31st 2006, up by almost 20%, they also recorded profits up by 75% on the same period last year.
Managing Director Tony Klejnow commented “We are obviously very pleased to have recorded such a successful year and relish the opportunity to invest even more in the development of our award winning Liberate suite of software. The company has invested heavily in product development over the last few years using the very latest Microsoft .NET technology and other state of the art software techniques and as can be seen by our latest financial results this investment is beginning to pay dividends.
“Our Technical Director Phil Snee and his team deserve great credit for the way they have steered the development of Liberate and I’m sure 2006 will see even more innovative enhancements and additions to what is already one of the most comprehensive and functional legal software products on the market.”
Company Chairman John Burrill cited many reasons for the recording of these tremendous results, but none more so than the company’s success in marketing and selling its totally integrated Practice and Case Management software, Liberate.
John commented, “Not only have we been able to upgrade existing Linetime users, but more significantly, we have been able to win new business with our Liberate product range. In fact we’ve been able to add an unprecedented number of new firms to our customer list during a period when industry commentators were forecasting a downturn in the market.
“We are particularly pleased to have gained all these new customers in 2005 especially when one considers how difficult it is for any firm to make the decision to change its IT supplier, not to mention the exceedingly strong competition we had to beat to win the orders.
“I firmly believe that one of the most significant reasons why we were so successful was our deep rooted understanding of the market. We have been writing and supplying software to the legal market for over 25 years and have always prided ourselves on providing an unrivalled level of customer service. This understanding of exactly what our customers require is probably why we were voted Number One in the Customer Satisfaction Index of the recently published Law Society Guide to Legal Software Suppliers 2006.
Finally I’d like to thank all our old and new customers for their business and their support as we continue to develop Liberate into a true world class software product.”
