Linetime VOLUME clients gear-up for more efficiency!

The months of September and October have been particularly challenging for everyone in the legal services sector and it has been interesting to note the different reactions prevalent in our UK client base.

Whilst many clients admit to ‘belt-tightening’ and are clamping down on what they see as ‘non-critical’ spend, a significant number are using the time currently available to examine internal processes and gear-up for maximum efficiency when the good times return - as they surely will!

This is particularly true of Linetime clients who handle work received in volume from business referrers or introducers. We are pleased to report that our clients continue to invest in additional software that will allow them to handle sizable increases in business volumes – without dramatically increasing staff levels.

Areas of work such as debt recovery, personal injury, bulk re-mortgage/equity release and mortgage possession feature often in these practices, and the key measure to profitability in all of these areas continues to be cost-per-transaction.

Examples of Linetime add-on software purchased by clients wishing to improve case-handling efficiency include:

Case Update - The case update option allows case details from referrers/introducers systems to be fed directly into sixty of the many data items held (per case) within Liberate. Existing case records are automatically updated with this new information and the appropriate next step taken on the case, with little or no human intervention. Well documented pre-defined processes within Liberate ensure that the correct step is taken first-time, every-time.

Transaction Gateway - The Transaction Gateway is used to import financial transactions generated by an external source onto existing case and debt records within the Liberate database. A classic example is a debt payment made directly to a client. If this payment is not communicated promptly to the debt recovery system then un-needed collection activity will continue, wasting valuable staff time and lowering customer satisfaction levels. The Transaction Gateway also interfaces with the Auto Bank Reconciliation feature of the Liberate accounting module ensuring payments made directly to the client’s bank are reflected in the Liberate accounting ledgers and case file.

CPC/CCBC Interface – The CPC/CCBC interface allows users of the Linetime debt recovery system to submit data to the Northampton Centre in bulk, with significant increases in operational efficiency and content accuracy. Submitting transactions electronically also reduces submission costs by approximately one-third.
