latest legal body to recognise Linetime training
for CPD awards
Linetime’s software training department has once again been recognised as a premier training resource within the country’s legal software industry.
The Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC), the regulatory body for Conveyancers who are qualified specialist property lawyers, has recently recognised the experience, expertise and quality of the Linetime software training team by authorising the company to award CPD points to its members.
This announcement by such a prestigious national regulatory body is the latest recognition of Linetime’s high quality customer training following similar CPD authorisations from both the Law Society and ILEX.
A Licensed Conveyancer is a specialist property lawyer, someone who is trained and qualified in all aspects of the law dealing with property.
In establishing the CLC, the Administration of Justice Act 1985, lays upon it the duty: "to ensure that the standards of competence and professional conduct among persons who practice as Licensed Conveyancers are sufficient to secure adequate protection for consumers and that the conveyancing services provided by such persons are provided both economically and efficiently.”
As part of this requirement CLC members have to complete 12 hours of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) per year if they are full licence holders such as sole practitioners and 6 hours for limited licence holders i.e. employed licence holders.
